Preprints Policy

Submissions from preprint servers are accepted. Articles received en IUS Humani journals must be original and unpublished, and must not be under review at other journals. However, preprints, undergraduate or postgraduate theses deposited in an Open Access Repository are not considered duplicate publications, as they have previously undergone peer review.

If an article submitted to the journal is already hosted on a preprint server, authors must indicate this at the time of submission with a note including the DOI or URL.

Subsequently, once the manuscript has been reviewed and accepted, authors must update the preprint server or repository where it is hosted to indicate that the article has been accepted for publication in the journal, including a link to the journal and the volume and issue in which it will be published — or, if already published, the volume, issue, year, and DOI.

The journals may deposit received manuscripts on servers such as SciELO Preprints and LatArXiv PrePrints.
