Integrating Sciences: Reflections on Juan Antonio Pérez López's Systems Theory
Abstract
In this article we address the problem of the separation between natural sciences and human sciences. To overcome this division and integrate knowledge, we propose a transdisciplinary solution from the general systems theory and cybernetics. Our exposition follows the proposal of Juan Antonio Pérez López (1934-1996), offering a panoramic introduction to its thought and how it can integrate the different sciences from its theoretical framework. We conclude with a succinct example of application.
