This article examines the idea of Creation in the Christian tradition, taking some text of the Genesis and Saint John’s Gospel as a reference. It underscores that the idea of Creation, as it has developed in the Western tradition is comparable to the notion of meaning and rationality. The notion of Creation, correctly understood, generates the adequate mental conditions for scientific research.
