Les auteurs-es doivent s'assurer de la conformité de leur soumission avec l'ensemble des éléments suivants. Les soumissions non conformes pourraient être retournées aux auteurs-es.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Publishing rules 

Articles:
Colloquia accepts unpublished works from the fields of the Arts and the Humanities. A previously published work can be admitted exceptionally if the necessary licenses are presented. The length of research articles goes from 4500 to 8000 words and that of reflection articles, from 2500 to 7000 words, which includes foot notes and appendices, but not the reference list.

Article structure:
All articles submitted to the Journal should include the title of the article, the author's name, the name of the academic institution, a brief resume of the author (5 lines) a 400 to 600 word abstract in Spanish and English, and 4 to 6 key words in Spanish and English (translation can be provided by Colloquia if necessary). An abstract in an additional language can be included if the author wishes to do so, because he/she either uses this language for academic work or as a native language.  However, the articles will be published only in Spanish or English.

Book reviews:
Colloquia will include reviews of recently published books about topics that are relevant to the Humanities. These reviews can have a length of 800 to 1200 words and they must include the important information about the work. The book reviews will usually be requested by the editor.  The format should be simplified, without footnotes, if possible. They can be in Spanish or English.

Style and Format
The documents must comply with the latest version of the APA style guide. The font used for the main text is Garamond, size 12, 1.5 line spacing. At the end of the document, a reference list should be included. 

Book Reviews

This section includes succinct analyses of current academic publications.  In general, reviews will be requested by the editorial team of the journal. The inputs of this section create a source that can be used by the international academic community to identify works that can be used for further research.

Mention de droit d'auteur

Authors publishing in our Journal comply to the following terms:
1. Authors keep their work's copyrights, but they guarantee Colloquia to be the first publisher of their papers. They grant the Journal with a Creative Commons Attribution License, under which their work can be shared with the condition that it is appropriately cited.
2. Authors can establish further clauses for non-exclusive distribution, such as publication on a separate book or placing in an institutional data-base. Nevertheless, a note should be always added to explain that the paper was originally published in Colloquia.

This Journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a file distributed among participating libraries, allowing these libraries to create permanent archives of the Journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More information...
