Politics has been conceived historically simply as the handling of power relationships. This conception (much more reductionist nowadays) has considerably limited political exercise and has hidden it behind a smokescreen that is characterized by corruption and moral relativism. This paper seeks to dig over the humanistic origins of Political Science, which are its mainstay and justify its existence as the activity that guarantees happiness and a dignified life for citizens.
