The Peculiarity of Leonardo Polo's Anthropology: Man as Furthermore

  • Juan Assirio

Abstract

This paper wants to demonstrate that the anthropological proposal of Spanish Philosopher Leonardo Polo has the peculiarity of being dual. First it explains the scope of human duality or dualities and the arrangement of these dualities. Then it presents a summary of the dualities that are part of the personal dimension (co-existence-freedom and personal knowledge-personal love) and the essential dimension (intelligence-will). The criterion has been to go from superior to inferior because, according to Polo, it is more appropriate. Within the first dualities and the second, it explains the innate habits of these dualities: wisdom, the first principles and synderesis.
