Abstract

All of us, some more than others, are going to commit evil against other people. In the same way, we will all fall victim to the evil of others. Now, while in the first situation, we must repent and ask for forgiveness, in the second we must forgive our wrongdoers. Thus, with this article, I try to describe and analyze the concept of forgiveness in the thinking of Edith Eger (survivor of the Auschwitz concentration camp and disciple and friend of Viktor Frankl) and how it relates to the meaning of life and happiness.
