Self-Archiving Policy

Authors who publish in journals edited by Universidad Hemisferios will retain copyright of their published articles and may self-archive in institutional repositories, subject-specific repositories, personal websites, academic social networks, and any other platform the author deems appropriate.

The following versions are permitted:

  • Preprint Version: Authors may deposit the manuscript version prior to peer review, known as a preprint, in any public or private repository. This version must not be formatted or modified to reflect the journal's layout.
  • Postprint Version: Authors may deposit the peer-reviewed, accepted manuscript version in institutional repositories, subject-specific repositories, or any other public or private repository. This version must include the changes suggested by reviewers, but must not contain the design elements of the final published version.
  • Published Version: Authors may deposit the published version of the article immediately upon its publication in the journal.

Self-archiving must be done under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license, with no embargo periods.

Authors must provide appropriate acknowledgment to the journal. When self-archiving the final published version, it is recommended to include a reference with the article's DOI. If the DOI is not available, the article's record URL may be used.

When depositing postprints, it must be indicated that the article has been accepted for publication in the journal, along with a link to the journal's website.

When depositing a preprint, it must be indicated that the manuscript has been submitted to the journal for evaluation, along with a link to the journal's website.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that self-archiving complies with the policies and requirements of the repositories in which they deposit their research. Furthermore, authors must ensure that self-archiving does not infringe any copyright or third-party legal restrictions.
