This paper offers a reflective analysis and a set of proposals concerning the intersection between emerging technologies—particularly communication technologies—and religious experience. It explores the mutual influences and contributions between these domains, with special emphasis on how religion shapes and is shaped by the evolving landscape of cyberculture. Cyberculture has become a vital space where contemporary religious life unfolds, alongside broader aspects of human existence.
The cultural transformations driven by technological innovation are profoundly impacting both public and private spheres, as well as the institutions and actors that constitute society. This new technological culture presents opportunities, challenges, and testimonies for all sectors—especially for religion, understood here as the entity that bridges the human and the sacred.
The study aims to enrich interdisciplinary perspectives on the role and impact of Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies across diverse dimensions of life, offering insights into their implications for spiritual, social, and cultural practices.
